King/Queen of Court

Challengers must win 3 consecutive points for point-winning challenger to take King/Queen spot next to feeder

Waiting players line up at net-posts and run in place

7-12 Players

Progressions:

Volley-Volley - for punch volleys (10-15 min)

Feeder and partner start at the net with challengers on opposite also at the net.

Feeder and partner start at the net with challengers on opposite side at baseline

Groundstroke - Volley - for overheads and volleys (10-15 min)

Feeder and partner start at the baseline with challengers on opposite side at the net (on "wall" to protect lob)

Feeds to either challenger (alternate lobs and drives)

Baseline-Baseline - Ground strokes, approach shots, volleys, overheads (10-15 min)

Last time through - challenger out for good if lose point. Last challenger can save 1 player once

Winner must win 2/3 points from baseline feed vs. Challenger.

 

Olympics (player favorite)

Challengers must win 2/3 points to take net

Champions are automatically out if winner hit to them (in ball not touched)

6-12 players

Volleys, Overheads, Lobs, Passing Shots, and Lots of Running

Champion team at net (on "wall" to protect lob)

Challenger team at base line

Feeder (not in game) feeds 3 balls to Champion team

3 Feeds - If neccesary

1st Feed-Lob

2nd Feed - Drive

3rd Feed - Lob

Challenger runs around to Champion side if Champion out (winner or lost 2/3 points) and gets Lob while running

Last time through - Challenger out for good at baseline. Champion can still return to baseline if out until only one team left.

High Ball

  • 3 players per court
  • Hit ground strokes before they drop
  • 2 players on court with 1 waiting
  • waiting player calls ball out if either player hits below it's peak
  • waiting player then rotates in

Champs vs Chumps

  • serve and play out point
  • 1 serve only
  • each player starts with a set number of pushups/suicides etc.
  • for every serve put into play or return not hit into net, a set number of pushups/suicides etc. is removed.
